This has been tested successfully on JIRA 7 running on a Windows Server.

This is useful in case you cannot install an add-on from the application itself. In case of a clustered Data Center configuration, the modifications should be replicated across all nodes.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Download the add-on you need to install as a jar file.
  2. Access one of the servers running the application with Administrative privileges.
  3. Copy the add-on to <jira-home>\plugins\installed-plugins.


In case the changes do not reflect immediately on the add-ons page, consider restarting the Jira service.
