1.1 Installation & Setup Instruction

1.1.1    Installation Prerequisites

Before you install OTJ Jira for Outlook, you must have the following:

If you are using OTJ Jira for Outlook for the first time is recommended to download the full package dependencies or install the following packages:

  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.6.2.
  • Edge Webview2 Runtime.
  • Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x86 and x64).
  • Microsoft Visual Basic PowerPacks 10.0.
  • Windows Installer 4.5

1.1.2    Installation on Windows

  • Download the latest version from here.
  • After downloading OTJ, extract files from the folder.
  • Open setup file. Click next to install the product.

1.2 Login

1.2.1    Authentication Methods supported

  • OAuth Authentication
  • Basic Authentication
  • Cookie Based Authentication

1.2.2    Steps

  • Open Outlook and Click on OTJ Jira for Outlook
  • Select Setup menu option.
  • Select an account from accounts list.
  • Enter your Jira URL. How to enter Jira URL correctly?
  • Click on Sign In.
    • If you have created an application link, you will sign in through OAuth
    • If you didn’t create an application link (Create application Link), you will be prompted to enter your Jira username and password.
    • If Jira two factor authentication is enabled, a web view page will open.
    • If you have entered a different URLs (E.g. ADFS/SSO), a web view page will open.
